Mobile app setup

SUPPORTED MOBILE DEVICES:

BSXinsight is compatible with newer models of both iPhone and Android, as well as IOS and Android tablets. The device needs to have Bluetooth 4.0+, also known as "Smart Bluetooth", "Bluetooth low energy", and/or "BLE".

GETTING THE MOBILE APP:

Download and install the phone/tablet app for Android or IOS/iPhone

You will need to log into the app, using the same login/PW you created on bsxinsight.com/login

 

MODIFYING SETTINGS:

After logging in, you will either be put on the run dashboard, or the cycling dashboard, depending on the BSXinsight edition you own. 

 

 

If you have a Multisport edition BSXinsight, you will have access to both dashboards, and can toggle between them by clicking on the red circled area above that opens the toggle menu:

 

 

The first thing you can do, is from any of the dashboards, click on the gear in the top right, to go to "settings":

 

Here is your settings page:

 

First menu option is "Profile", where you can add your information:

 

Next menu option is "Pair your BSxinsight", which is optional and won't restrict you from letting someone else use it. It adds the device details to your activities which helps support and tracking.

In order to pair, your BSXinsight needs to be undocked and in "wake" mode (green LED on). To wake it, tap it a few times with your fingernail, like you'd tap the desk. Then, hold it close to the phone and tap the red exclamation mark.

It will search, change to a green check mark and say "connected" when complete:

 

The final menu options are your training zones, for run/cycling. You don't need to change these, as they're set for you, by default, but advanced users can customize them. 

For running, there's pace and heart rate, which you can toggle between at the top by tapping the icons:

 

For cycling, there's power and heart rate:

 

You're app is ready, if your BSXinsight is charged up, move on to:
